I’ve been tutoring and coaching professionally for over four years and voluntarily for even longer.

I’ve worked with the full gamut of student profiles – from a boy who was struggling to pass US History to a girl who hoped to push her 1460 on the SAT as close to a 1600 as possible. Accommodating so many different types of learning styles has taught me to be flexible, read each student’s style and come ready with an assortment of methods.

More importantly, my approach is designed with the big picture in mind. As we’re working on the subject in front of us, I want to make sure my students ultimately feel able to recall the work when I’m not there. I want to help them develop the attributes that will make them successful in the next stage of their life: self-confidence and the ability to think critically, ask questions and work hard.
