Profile (About You) |
Since entering the field of education in 1985, I have combined my business acumen and mentoring skills to advise students from all backgrounds, including students of color, low income, first generation, disabled, traditional, non-traditional, graduate, undergraduate, transfer, international and GLBTQ, to name a few. I specialize in helping them discover their passions, strengths and career goals, as well as assisting them in making the transition from high school to college and from college to the professional world of work. I also have extensive experience mentoring college students as they transition through each year of their undergraduate experience and make the jump to graduate school. Guiding students to realize their fullest potential is my passion. I have played a key role in preparing students to enter an extremely competitive, increasingly global marketplace by teaching them the skills they need academically, culturally, interpersonally, politically and socially. I am also adept at the confluence of those skills relative to their leadership development. I communicate in a myriad of different styles in order to fit the situation and persons I am working with, whether that be in small or large groups or one-on-one.
