Profile:       Long established college planning firm is seeking an experienced college counselor to work with students in the Fanwood, NJ, area.

Job Title:   College Counselor

Summary: Provide quality college counseling at our firm headquarters as well as satellite offices.  We provide clients with an  “end-to-end” college admissions process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Our counselors meet with families of students pursuing college admissions; help to create the school list;  oversee and assist with college application(s), review student transcripts;  participate in the Essay process, and schedule Test Prep or Tutoring sessions (among other things).

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in counseling required or UCLA/UC Irvine certificate, CEP also accepted. School counseling certification a plus, as well as experience in college counseling.

Skills Required:

Day-to-day activities require strong reading/processing skills, strong interpersonal skills, exceptional verbal & written communication skills, and efficiency with time management.

Compensation: 

*Part time, highly compensated commensurate on background and experience.
