Standardized SAT, ACT Instructor Training

Learning how to become a standardized test tutor is a little different than instructing a traditional academic subject. In test prep, the learner’s metacognitive problem solving is tested though the use of things such as timed sections and answer traps. Moreover, there has been no standardized curriculum to help train aspiring tutors to connect the dots between classroom knowledge and test prep question types.

This is essentially the why behind why we developed our SAT & ACT “train the trainer” LMS –TrainingAnytime. TrainingAnytime is remotely accessible and designed to help educators understand the pedagogy required to connect test preparation to the fundamental concepts learned in school. The training includes audio/video lessons and is standardized, measurable, and administered by certified training tutors from the ranks of our association’s membership.

Here is a deeper dive into TrainingAnytime:

• 30 hours of SAT (or ACT ) training lessons

• A full course blueprint to use with your lesson preparation

• Concept mastery support for 12 months

The certification track includes testing on content knowledge and lesson delivery; and successful trainees will be issued a certificate and a badge for public use.
